More than attending—a commitment to the church family
At GHAC, membership is a public commitment by a follower of Jesus to worship, grow, serve, and walk in accountable fellowship with a local church family. Membership does not save us—salvation is by grace through faith in Christ—but it gives believers a clear place to belong, be known, and help build up the body of Christ.
Why church membership matters
The Bible does not describe a modern membership form, but it consistently shows identifiable believers committed to a local body, leaders responsible for their care, and members responsible to one another.
Belong to one body
Every believer is joined to Christ and given a meaningful place in His body. We need one another, and every member has gifts that strengthen the whole church.

Be known and cared for
Local church leaders are called to shepherd people faithfully, while believers receive care, encouragement, correction, and spiritual support within the church family.

Gather and encourage
The early church devoted itself to biblical teaching, fellowship, prayer, generosity, and shared life. Membership gives practical shape to that same commitment today.
